Jeep Vehicle Trim Levels and Which One to
Choose
All Jeep models will come with varying levels of
4x4 capability. You can choose from dozens of trim levels, add-on packages, and
special editions for a customizable experience. If you are a hardcore off-road
enthusiast, you know to start at the Trailhawk trim level or the specialized
features of the Mohave and Sahara models, depending on the terrain you enjoy
conquering. If you mostly stick to paved roads but want added capability to
handle challenging road conditions, especially in the winter around White Lake,
then sticking with a base Sport trim level may give you just the right amount
of capability. Here is a breakdown of some of the most common trim level
options for most Jeep models:
Sport
The Sport trim level is the base model loaded with
standard features like four-wheel drive, Uconnect Infotainment system, cloth
leather seats, and other basic amenities. The higher trim levels will build off
the standard features found on the Sport level. However, not all trim levels
have the same standard features, so it might be helpful to ask our team for a
side-by-side comparison of all the features that are important to
you.
Latitude
The trim level above the Sport trim offers
amenities like mood lighting, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift lever,
and keyless entry.
Trailhawk
If you are looking for more robust off-road
features, you'll want to start with the Trailhawk trim. You'll get more
off-road capability, and the Trail Rated badge of approval, which is the Jeep
brand's designation for off-road vehicles that have increased ground clearance
with higher approach, breakover, and departure angles. Trailhawk models also
feature bigger tires and special red tow hooks on the front and rear.
Limited
Climbing up to the higher Limited trim levels, you
will see more luxury features. Enjoy technology upgrades, leather seats, heated
front seats, remote start, and a power sunroof as some of the more upscale
features at this level.
Overland
The Overland trim level dials up the luxury
appointments and adds wood and leather accents, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof,
and upgraded daytime running and fog lights.
Rubicon
If you are looking for hardcore offroad capability,
start with the Trailhawk and then dial it up to the Rubicon trim level. Rubicon
models turn up the rugged off-road style by adding on 33-inch tires, skid
plates, rock rails, front locking differential, and performance Fox
shocks.
Mohave and Sahara
You probably won't find too many Mohave and Sahara
models at Szott M-59 Jeep, and that is because these models are
fine-tuned for tackling dunes and sandy terrain. These special vehicles are
top-of-the-line and lean into the desert motif with style cues and sand-resistant
equipment.
4xe Models
4xe badges indicate the Jeep model is a plug-in
hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV). The Jeep Grand Cherokee and Jeep Wrangler are
available with these powerful electrified powertrains. They have gas engines
with electric motors that run off rechargeable batteries. It's possible to
drive short distances fully electric and plug in to recharge. It's an exciting
time to switch to electrified vehicles, and you may even qualify for special
federal or state tax incentives for your investment in this new
technology.
